Every February we celebrate the traditional Icelandic end-of-winter-solstice feast called Thorrablót. At this event we strive to share some authentic Icelandic culture with all members of the community, Icelandic descent or not. Join us for Thorrablót and experience the unique traditions of Iceland (more details below).

Join the Icelandic Association of Utah in celebrating Thorroblót 2011.

Thorroblót is Icelands annual end-fo winter-solstice feast. This year we carry on this traditional celebration with good food, fun and perhaps a few surprises. We will have our traditional festivities of Barnakór (Childrens Choir), quilt auction, and door prizes. In addition, guest speakers BYU professor Dr. Fred Woods and curator of the Library of Vestmannæyjar Kari Bjarnason will present information about an exciting four year project building a permanent LDS Icelandic exhibit which will be displayed at the Vestmannæyjar Museum.
